The AKG Promotions team (Karl, Ralph and Taylor) headed to The Eden Project to work alongside the Eden team to help coordinate the media with the artists playing in the Med Biome on the Cape Farewell / Eden Project collaboration Biotik Stage for what can only be described as a fantastic couple of days.
The weather was simply perfect and the sound of the west London nouveau-folkies Mumford & Sons carried throughout the crater in which the Eden Session stage was located. Having just finished playing at Glastonbury still looking fresh faced Mumford and Sons hit us with an energetic barrage of folk rock.
The band played one of the longest Session support sets to what was the biggest crowd seen at one of the early slots
The set was filled with crowd pleasing tunes which consisted mostly songs from their debut album ‘Sign No More’ as well as a few new tunes thrown into the mix (it certainly had Karl excited about the songs to be on the next album).
With the temperature certainly dropping, the Doves took the stage to a elated response from a crowd still going made for Mumford & Sons. The mood without doubt become more sombre, the Manchester three-piece group took the crowd on a musical journey through Doves time, including There Goes the Fear and Caught by the River.
The evening was amazing, a great night of good music and an even better atmosphere. If you were there we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and if you weren’t, well you certainly missed out.
